Nothing sets the holiday mood quite like Christmas lights. They've been made famous in songs and appeared in countless family photos. They create excitement that's impossible to create in any other way. There's just something about Christmas lights that bring out the kid in all of us. Of course, there are problems with the old types of lights. Incandescent bulbs burn hot, using a lot of electricity and contributing to the risk of fire. They are also famous for burning out after just a few weeks of use, blacking out random bulbs, and leaving the whole string useless.
